I have had long hair for so long, I don’t even remember the last time it was above my shoulders. I have put my hair through a lot over the years- and have tried SO MANY different products. (At one point I had to give away my hair supplies when I moved apartments because there was just so much to pack).
Here are some of my top favorite hair products and accessories:
Shampoo & Conditioner
I change my shampoos and conditioners often and use different ones depending on how I intend to style my hair the next day.
- Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Special Shampoo
- Pantene Sleek & Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner (Tip: Condition you hair FIRST! Leave it in while you shave, brush it out and then shampoo. Trust me, it makes a difference)
- TRESemme 24 Hour Body Healthy Volume Shampoo (This stuff is great when I need a blow out to last for a few days…my hair stays smelling fresh and doesn’t get oily)
- Herbal Essences Shine Collection Shampoo and Conditioner (Love this in the summer)
- Head and Shoulders Classic Clean Dandruff Shampoo (I use it once a month. It helps to keep my scalp healthy and free from flakes due to blow-drying frequently)
- OGX Coconut Milk Shampoo (It’s like summer all year long!)
Hair Appliances
- Conair Infinity Pro Curling Wand (This is what I use to create voluminous curls and my hair in the pic above!)
- Bed Head A Wave We Go Adjustable Deep Waver (Great for making beach waves. I love that it is adjustable so you can control how tight or loose the waves are!)
- DryBar Buttercup Blow Dryer (I absolutely love this dryer. It is the best one I have owned and is definitely worth the investment. Tip: Sometimes you can find them marked down at TJMaxx after the holidays!)
- DryBar The Bouncer Diffuser
- DryBar The 3-Day Bender Digital Curling Iron
Products
- DryBar Southern Belle Volume-Boosting Mousse
- DryBar Southern Belle Volume-Boosting Powder (Great for adding volume to those curls!)
- DryBar Triple Sec 3-in-1 Finishing Spray (Texturzing spray)
- DryBar Hot Toddy Heat Protectant Mist
- DryBar The Sheriff Medium Hold Hairspray
- DryBar Prep Rally Prime & Prep Detangler (Trust me: this is a GAME CHANGER! It is light weight, not greasy at all and makes it so easy to get tangles out without damaging your hair)
- DryBar Detox Brunettes Dry Shampoo (If you have dark hair like me, this stuff is AMAZING! It doesn’t leave behind that ghostly white powder that many dry shampoos do)
- LaBella Lots of Curls Styling Gel (For whenever I want to leave my hair naturally wavy)
- Garnier Fructis Sculpt Conditioning Cream Gel
- Garnier Fructis Style Scrunch Extra Strong Hold Controlling Gel
- Aussie Mega Hold Hairspray
- V05 Hot Oil Conditioning Treatment (I use this a few times a year, especially in the summer if I have been swimming often)
Accessories
- Scunci Mixed Size Polybands (These are always great to have around the house. I use them whenever I wear my mini space buns)
- Goody Ouchless Xtra Long Extra Thick Elastic Hair Ties (No metal on them to get tangled in my hair, and they are large enough so I can wrap them around my hair more than once)
- Scunci Scrunchies ( I know they are back in style, but seriously use them even if they aren’t! They save your hair from damage!)
- Kitsch Leopard Microfiber Towel Scrunchies (They come in other colors/patterns too! I love these giant scrunchies. They are great for putting your hair up while at home when it’s still wet. They’re made from a material that doesn’t get weighed down from your wet hair)
- Kitsch Ultra Soft Microfiber Spa Headband (Keeps your hair out of your face when you apply makeup and face masks)
- Butterfly Clamps
