I’m Patricia
Welcome to my little corner of the internet where life is lived imperfectly, authentically, and with a touch of Greek flair.

I grew up in Connecticut, where my life was anything but typical — I spent my high school years playing ice hockey, dreaming about becoming a hairdresser, and experimenting with fashion, makeup, and hair. These days, my career path looks a little different: I’m a middle school art teacher, and this year marks my 14th year in the classroom. Recently, I made a move from Connecticut to New York City, and I’m loving the inspiration and energy of the city.

Outside the classroom, I wear many hats. I’m the host of the Koukles Podcast, where I dive into conversations about Greek-American life, culture, and community. I also run ShopFilakia, my online shop where I design products that celebrate our Greek heritage and keep our traditions alive in modern, creative ways. On top of that, I’m a wannabe blogger — sharing my journey through motherhood, teaching, fashion, and life’s imperfect moments.

Another part of that journey has been navigating adulthood with food allergies — I developed nut and gluten allergies later in life, so you’ll often find me sharing how I balance those obstacles without letting everyone else suffer at the table. It’s all about finding joy (and good food!) even with limitations.

I’m 5’9”, and currently a size 12/14/16, with size 11 shoe, and proudly embrace fashion, beauty, and style at every size. I love connecting with people who appreciate authenticity — the messy, real, and sometimes chaotic moments of life. Being imperfectly me is my motto, and I hope it inspires others to embrace their own beautifully imperfect stories.
Life isn’t perfect, but I believe that’s what makes it beautiful. If you’re into Greek culture, motherhood, fashion, navigating food allergies, and real-life stories, I’d love to connect with you. Follow me on Instagram to see behind-the-scenes glimpses of my life, my latest designs, and everything that makes up my imperfectly me world.
